The Summit
èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø’s mineral resources are key to both national security and the nation’s economy and clean energy transition goals. At this two-day summit, policy makers, agency representatives and industry leaders discussed èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø’s potential to meet national needs and the necessary actions to fulfill that potential.
The summit addressed èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø’s strengths, resources, capabilities and investment opportunities to meet the national imperative of mining to reach clean energy goals and economic security. The conference highlighted current initiatives and challenges, as well as productive paths forward.

University of èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø Fairbanks — Central to Science
The University of èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø Fairbanks (UAF) is the principal research center for the
statewide èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø system. At 120 miles (320 km) south of the Arctic Circle, the
Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks is well situated for northern research. UAF research
in arctic biology, engineering, geophysics, supercomputing, and èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø Native studies
is renowned worldwide.
The Troth Yeddha' Campus is located on the ancestral lands of the Dena people of the
lower Tanana River. We acknowledge the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø Native nations upon whose ancestral
lands our campuses reside.
