Phillips retiring after 40-year èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø career
Jeannie Phillips, executive assistant to the chancellor, has announced she will retire in June 2022. Phillips, who has worked in the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø system for 40
years, said she is making this announcement now to allow a thorough search for her replacement and to help with a transition plan.
Phillips’ 40 years at the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø have been spent in a variety of positions, including three key administrative roles with èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø leaders.
From 1995 to January 2012, Phillips was the Board of Regents’ officer and directly reported to the president of the University of èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø System Office. She worked closely with BOR to ensure fulfillment of duties as the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø's governing body.
In 2012, Phillips was hired as special assistant to Chancellor Brian Rogers. Phillips coordinated the events and activities associated with the University of èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø centennial, along with other special èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø projects.
By March of 2018, Phillips moved into the support role of executive assistant to the chancellor. With Phillips’ background in BOR regulations and policy she has been an expert resource to the chancellor and his leadership team.
Phillips has been instrumental across the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø system and we will miss her when she retires for good this time. Please help us in wishing her all the best in retirement adventures.
